Senior Management

Donna Brenchley (Commercial Director)

Donna has worked at Mortgage Advice Bureau for over 10 years. Previously she spent six years at Legal & General as Head of E-Commerce and Head of Estate Agency Network. She gained prior Mortgage and Estate Agency experience in roles at Barclays and Black Horse Agencies.

She holds ACIB and FPC levels 1, 2 & 3 professional qualifications.

Sharon Trinder (Compliance Director)

Sharon joined us as Compliance Director in January 2016 and has been brought in to oversee the compliance teams, to ensure advisers and businesses are supported in delivering good customer outcomes. With a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering and 30 year’s experience in financial services, Sharon has worked closely with both the FCA and lenders to ensure compliance is forward thinking and effective. Sharon’s recent experience working within another network will enable her to enhance the risk and compliance function within our business as she brings with her a strong understanding of the challenges faced in a rapidly changing intermediary market.

Prior to this, Sharon has worked at Intrinsic Financial Services, Zurich and Allied Dunbar, carrying out a number of roles including Customer Service, Adviser Recruitment & Financial Crime/Compliance.

Gemma Bacon (Brand and Marketing Director)

Gemma was appointed as Head of Marketing at Mortgage Advice Bureau in October 2015. Previously she spent 3 years as Head of Brand at Quality Solicitors having previously held marketing roles at Barclaycard and Egg.

She holds professional qualifications: MSc Management and Marketing, BA Communication Studies, CIM Professional Diploma

Gareth Herbert (National Sales Director)

Gareth joined Mortgage Advice Bureau in 2005. Previously he spent eight years as Regional Director at Mortgage Direct (Spicer Haart Group), having begun his career in the Home Service industry with Liverpool & Victoria before moving into management.

He holds professional qualifications: FPC levels 1, 2 & 3, CeMap Bridge

Andy Walton (Proposition Director, Protection)

Andy has been in the industry for almost 30 years – with 20 years specialising in protection sales. His experience has been gained with providers, London & Manchester, Legal & General and Aegon.

Over the last 8 years, Andy has worked with large distribution networks – while Head of Protection at Intrinsic, protection grew from £29m to £82m over 5 years. Recently, Andy joined Mortgage Advice Bureau as Protection Proposition Director.

Andy is passionate about protection and continues to champion the very best customer outcomes.

Emma Hollingworth (Proposition Director, Mortgages)

Emma has been in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years – Emma started life as a mortgage adviser, selling her first mortgage at the age of 17. She then moved into the world of mortgage distribution working for the last 14 years for MSN, SimplyBiz and most recently, Intrinsic. Whilst at Intrinsic as Mortgage Sales Director, Emma was responsible for the end to end mortgage proposition which in her 5 years there saw Intrinsic gross lending grow from £3.65bn to over £15bn.

Emma has recently joined Mortgage Advice Bureau as Mortgage Proposition Director, responsible for the overall end to end mortgage proposition and also the delivery of the MAB2020 project.

Dan Maunder (Chief Technology Officer)

Dan joins MAB as CTO from Picsolve International where he spent the last 18 months redefining digital attraction photography, leading the organisation to launch a new AI driven product suite.  Dan has almost 15 years’ experience in Software, Product, Technology delivery and has lead multi-faceted globally dispersed technology organisations.  Dan brings with him a history of FinTech and has worked with some of the world’s leading financial brands such as Experian and Citi.  Dan actively supports the UK Technology community and has recently been awarded a Fellowship of the British Computer Society.
