Sue joined Mortgage Advice Bureau in March 2019. She previously worked in estate agency before qualifying as a mortgage adviser.

We asked Sue to share her experiences of joining Mortgage Advice Bureau, including the benefits of working with us and any advice she might give to others thinking of making the move.

Why did you choose to join Mortgage Advice Bureau?

I worked in an estate agent for a number of years and decided to go down the route of Mortgages. I paid for and completed my CeMap qualification myself and then started to apply for jobs. I was offered a job at a call centre based mortgage advice centre which I took, however I found that the role was completely unsupported as I was technically a trainee. I was then offered the job at Mortgage Advice Bureau. I joined Mortgage Advice Bureau for a couple of reasons, I knew the role would be more supported and they would help and support me in my development to become a competent advisor.  I was also very impressed by feedback that I had from other advisors who had worked for Mortgage Advice Bureau.

How was your move to Mortgage Advice Bureau?

My move was very easy, as soon as I moved over I was sent on a course for mortgage and protection, to help me with the systems and also the process and sales techniques that are recommended by MAB, this was extremely helpful as I was very inexperienced when I joined so it gave me the useful tools needed to start my career properly.  I was up and running within 6 weeks seeing clients and writing business.

What’s the support like?

The team here are brilliant and have helped me enormously since I started. We have experienced advisers who are always willing to give their time and offer support.

What would you say to someone who was thinking of joining Mortgage Advice Bureau?

I would say it’s a fantastic opportunity to earn some real money and feel supported in the process. Everyone goes to work to earn an income and if you work hard your income really is unlimited.

Sum up your experience with Mortgage Advice Bureau in one sentence.

This experience has given me the opportunity to work in a place and with people that motivate and help me and it has allowed me to achieve job satisfaction.
