Mortgage tools and calculators
The first step to do is check how much you could borrow based on your salary. This is often a standard multiplier of your salary - usually 4.5 to 4.75 x your income.
Our borrowing calculator is designed to help you work out how much you borrow, which gets you one step closer to owning your own home.
Simply enter a few key details to get an estimate of how much you could borrow.
Please note this is only an estimate and can vary depending on the lender and your personal circumstances.
To get a more accurate quote, we recommend you speak to one of our advisers. They can help you make an informed decision that is right for you.
First: Check how much you could borrow
Next: Check how much lenders would prepared to offer you
Once you've assessed how much you might be able to borrow, you can complete the next step that a mortgage broker or lender would take you through - to know whether you can afford that level of borrowing, based on your current monthly outgoings.
This tool might take a few minutes to complete, and you'll need to have your current monthly commitments to hand, eg, loans, credit cards or car finance, as well as council tax and/or childcare costs.
We'll then check against a pool of 40 mortgage lenders to see what they would be prepared to lend you - all without a credit check.
