Data submitted to access the Mortgage Advice Bureau Reapit app is processed using the performance of a contract as the lawful basis for processing. Without providing your personal data it would not be possible to provide access to the app.

Once you have installed the app, we further process your personal data to link the app to our existing systems to facilitate the correct processing of client personal data submitted through the app by you.

Marketing and use of AI & Automated Decision Making

We will only use your personal data for the above stated purpose and will not use your data for any marketing purpose. Data submitted via the Reapit app will not be subject to any AI or Automated Decision Making.

Sharing of personal data outside of the United Kingdom

Some of our external suppliers are based overseas so their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside of the UK. In such cases data is transferred under conditions to provide protection to personal data equivalent to UK Data Protection standards. This includes the use of standard contractual clauses in contracts with external suppliers in order to provide the same level of protection for personal data as it has in the UK.

Data submitted to the Mortgage Advice Bureau Reapit app is shared within Mortgage Advice Bureau for the purpose of linking your Reapit account to other MAB systems to ensure the correct processing of client data submitted via the app.

To support this activity your personal data may be shared with external suppliers providing specialist IT services. These suppliers are required to ensure appropriate security measures are in place and maintain the confidentiality of your personal data, and to use your personal data only in the course of providing such services and in accordance with Mortgage Advice Bureau instructions.

How long is your personal data retained?

Your personal data will be retained to support the use of the Reapit app. Your access will be revoked once access is no longer required. Some personal data such as your name and employer may be retained for a longer period for historical and audit purposes in relation to the client transaction.

Therefore, you must ensure that you obtain consent from the client before submitting data to the Mortgage Advice Bureau Reapit app and record appropriate data to provide demonstrable proof of the client consent. When the data is received by Mortgage Advice Bureau via the Reapit app, Mortgage Advice Bureau becomes a data controller in our own right and the data subsequently processed in accordance with our Client Privacy Notice.

Data submitted via the Reapit app will not be subject to any AI or Automated Decision Making. Any marketing preferences will be confirmed with the client when a Mortgage Advice Bureau adviser has engaged with them.

Data Security

Client data submitted via the app is protected by existing Reapit security measures. Mortgage Advice Bureau applies appropriate security measures to our own IT systems to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. These measures include the encryption of data at rest and in transit, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

Client data is subsequently shared within the Mortgage Advice Bureau network to allow an adviser to contact the client to discuss their mortgage requirements. This and any subsequent processing is performed in accordance with the Mortgage Advice Bureau Client Privacy Notice.
