Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting a Business Development Manager.
Mortgage Advice Bureau is the UK’s largest mortgage network, with access to thousands of products from dozens of UK lenders. As part of the team at MAB’s Network Partner, you would be working with one of the largest mortgage broking businesses in Scotland.
Mortgage Advice Bureau provide expert mortgage and protection advice to a range of clients, from first time buyers applying through help to buy, to families looking to expand their home, to landlords adding to their portfolio.
This is a Full Time Role
SALARY/OTE: £45,000-£55,000 PA, subject to experience
Job Specification:
The role involves maintaining existing new build introducer accounts whilst achieving new lead generation relationships for the business.
It is essential that you have an ability to work to targets and build excellent relations with the internal teams as well as external introducers.
We provide an introduction to all existing relationships and support from management on nurturing those introducers.
We have an award-winning Training and Performance team, who can help you to reach your full potential and achieve success.
You will be required to work weekends in line with the builders work patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
· Nurture of existing builder relationships through regular contact, site visits and attendance of events
· Drive inbound lead volumes through delivery of great service
· Qualification of New Build leads to booked with our New Build advisers once reserved
· Responsible for reporting and MI of inbound leads to our builder partners
· Taking a proactive approach to generate new opportunities & introductions with external builders
· Working closely with internal stakeholders within department
NB ad-hoc actions (not included above) will be required in line with the needs of the business.
Person Requirements:
· Driver’s license is essential for this role as there will be a requirement to travel within Scotland and England
· Previous Mortgage advising experience is required for this role
· Previous new build homes or new build mortgage lending experience preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
· Previous Business Development experience preferable but not essential. You must be able to demonstrate strong relationship building skills
· Good written, oral communication and numeracy skills
· Drive, ambition and self-motivation.
· Outstanding organizational skills, good time keeping and ability to control own diary
· Be determined and committed to go the extra mile
· Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced sales environment.
· Ability to work in a regulated environment.
· Experience of Microsoft suite of products, Word, Excel etc.
· Able to commute to our Edinburgh Office when required.
