We recently recruited a trainee mortgage and protection adviser to the team at Mortgage Advice Bureau – Regional Network Partners North.
Emily Kilvington joined us towards the end of 2021 and is in the process of completing our award-winning mortgage academy. With the help of our Sales and Development Manager, we’re also mentoring her through her CeMAP exams, which she needs in order to become a qualified mortgage adviser. Throughout her training, Emily has spent time working within different departments to get a good understanding of the customer journey and mortgage application process.
“I’ve spent my whole working life in public services, so have always had an interest in people. I progressed into sales which I really enjoyed, before going to work for a well-known insurance firm which ignited my interest in financial services. My role involved dealing with mortgage advisers on a daily basis. The more I talked to them and learnt about the job, the more I knew this was the path I wanted to take. I researched what I’d need to do for the role and was put in touch with Alex (MD of Regional Network Partners – North network) to interview for a trainee position.
I’ve absolutely loved my time at the mortgage academy – the team have been really supportive and approachable. It truly has combined my passion for property, finance and people all in one place!”

“Emily joined us from an insurance background without any mortgage experience whatsoever. Her personality shone through at her interview and we were delighted to support her on the journey to becoming an adviser. She has joined our three month academy which supports her with a mixture of webinars, pre-course tasks and digital courses. As her mentor, I’m very proud of the hard work she’s put into this as well as studying for her CeMAP exams and taking on new roles in our admin and sales teams.
