Position Overview:

Support the Protection Advisers by documenting their sales pipeline, issuing compliance letters, and liaising with clients and policy providers to gain acceptance of the policies and put them on risk.

Essential Job Functions:

• Record and maintain a spreadsheet of prospects to ensure the advisers have visibility of their pipeline
• Issue letters to mortgage clients who decline to have a protection review/sign up for a protection policy
• Assist Protection Advisers to follow up on appointments and quotes that they have provided to their clients
• Liaise with providers to ensure that they have all the information required to accept a policy
• Liaise with clients to provide any information that is required by providers
• Liaise with medical practices to ensure that doctors’ reports are provided, where necessary
• Put policies on risk

Requirements:

• Pleasant manner when dealing with clients, colleagues, providers
• Team worker – recognises that business success comes from everyone working together with a willing attitude
• Well organised – conscious of process – methodical
• Drive to support the team to achieve targets
• Attention to detail – checks facts and figures and spots mistakes. Takes ownership to get anomalies resolved
• IT literate – able to use a variety of systems
• Accurate with spelling and numbers

Other Skills/Abilities: 

• Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic telephone manner
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Willingness to learn new IT systems and make the best use of them by self-help or asking system providers

Salary: 

Between £18,000 - £21,000
