Online property portals are your best friends in the house hunt! Take advantage of online property listing platforms, browsing listings and filtering them based on your needs. Don't forget to set up alerts so you'll be notified when new properties matching your criteria become available.

Look online

While property photos are important, they only tell part of the story. To get a more comprehensive picture, delve deeper into the local area using Google Maps and Street View to get a feel of potential areas. Explore school ratings, the proximity of amenities, and typical commute times to help determine.

Research the location

The importance of location cannot be overstated. Schedule viewings at different times of the day to experience the neighbourhood's vibe. You should also consider revisiting the area in the evening to gauge noise levels and traffic flow.

Strike up conversations with members of the local community, such as shop owners, dogwalkers, and sports clubs. They can offer invaluable insights into the neighbourhood's character, providing a well-rounded perspective beyond what you can find online.

The importance of viewings
